Carolineverse Crash Course
I started the heart of this during a mildly insane period of my life where I was convinced that I was trapped in a cartoon. Thus, I made a silly little story about the nature of building a story. it wasn't fleshed out, I had about five characters, a quarter of a setting, and an introduction to a conflict. it was more of an arg than an actual story, but I got attached to one of the characters, Caroline.
so, I stole her and decided that she would be the base for my new story. I have been pushing her around for a couple years now, but I just tend to want to make an arg type of story, and that's just not something I have the time or dedication to do.
my big idea is that it's like sartre's no exit but in reverse. some motherfucker is trying to get these girls to hate everything and kill. persona 5 akechi goro/book of job style. testing humanity. what will happen?
but they god damn win! love wins! hell may be other people but other people is also how to get out!!
something something meeting online something something. it's also going to be my college student loneliness catharsis cuz i'm going to school in the fall and it'll be the first time away from my small town. and i'm Scared.

Our lead woman! Love interest 1 of 2 in this lovely book. I talk crap but I love a good romance.
19 year old black girl, she wears her hair in a lot of butterfly locs & braids with pastel pink accents. she lives in an uber-rural town, somewhere in michigan. her family co-owns a small berry farm. Just enough to run a small business. her dad works as a teacher as well, making ends meet comfortably but she doesn't get a nice car when she turns 16 or anything. she's selfish, a bit inexperienced; but she loves dearly despite this.

Caroline's lover in the end. Of course.
She lives in Madrid. She knows English because she wanted to watch all these movies that everyone was watching. She has dark, wavy hair (think 2C) that she wears in a mid-length style. she wears a lot of dark colors, black and gray and blue. she has big, fancy glasses that she does need to see but they look like fashion glasses.

Our angel motherfucker himself. He's a big fan of watching humanity fuck ourselves up, and wants to know what's going on! he has a working theory that free will is bad for humanity and that they are inherently terrible. his theory has not been going well, so he's trying to manipulate these poor women into going absolutely bonkers. how? i have not figured it out yet.
